Supporting campaigns, driving action! - Sustainlabour.org -

Have you ever thought about launching a campaign from your trade union on climate change, chemical risk or green economy but this has not been possible due to a lack of the few resources needed for that? Now could be a good time to do so.
Sustainlabour we would like to support in 2011 4 trade union campaigns from the South in the area of sustainable development, climate change or chemical risk. Send in your proposals before January 30, 2011!
 What campaigns are supported?
Characteristics of the campaigns which will be supported:
Campaign thematic areas:
Sustainable Development/Green Economy
Climate Change
Chemical Risk
 Campaign Objectives:
Awareness-raising campaign for members of the union
Trade union informative campaign in a company
A social campaign in order to explain the labour dimension of these issues (just transition, green jobs…)
Lobbying campaign for the ratification of Agreements, Laws and Conventions
Campaign materials:
Leaflets, posters, electronic newsletters, stickers, information sheets, short video.  
What can we offer you?
From Sustainlabour we can offer you the following:
- $2,500 of financial support for materials (printing and distribution)
- Support in the elaboration of materials and contents
- Lay out and Design of materials
- Electronic dissemination of the campaign through Sustainlabour’s, web page, electronic Bulletin and social network sites
 What must be submitted?
Please submit a brief proposal (2-3 pages long) with the following:
- General information about who will carry out the campaign: name of trade union, contact information, etc.
- A summary of the idea for the campaign: thematic area, who will lead it, how will it be carried out (materials, etc.)
- Campaign budget
- Duration of campaign activities
 Steps to follow:
2. Date for submission:  All proposals must be submitted by January 30, 2011.  Responses on selections will be given by early February
3. Start date: The campaign could begin in February of 2011.
