Australia's Urban Water Sector: Draft report released

The Australian Productivity Commission has  released its report into Australia's Urban Water Sector:  As expected the commission report raises a series of concerns around the removal or alteration to the local government water role in NSW & QLD and favors the models proposed in the recent NSW govt review. Other issues addressed in the report include the retail , network and bulk water split, regulation, environmental standards etc .View online: www.pc.gov.au/projects/inquiry/urban-water

PSI affiliate the ASU is currently reviewing the recommendations  and will be providing an additional response to its earlier submission , as well as appearing before the productivity commission public hearings being held across Australia .
