Tri generation an example

For those interested in the issue of tri generation and what it means for our members , the following article from an edition of the SMH late in April is really useful , - basically electricity generated from one building gas generator is used in that building with excess heat captured and used for air-conditioning or heating etc , with the excess electricity used at another building some distance way ( in this case across town and across the Sydney harbour) – but the electricity is moved via the local distribution authority network (in this case by Aus Grid ) this small, example shows the opportunities in the new green economy for the oldest existing part of the electricity system ‘the network’ . Please note private sector companies have been moving electricity from one part of their business activity in one part of the country to another, via the publically owned electricity network in countries like Sweden for many years.
