Please find an interesting article referring to several new research pieces.
An important argument is that in other parts of the world investments are
taking place in low carbon technologies, efficiency. So it is important for
Europe to keep up and be ambitious as well. It also makes the point that
although the lobby of the energy intensive industries is strong, and Europe
should maintain its industries and the jobs it provides we should not lose
sight of the important industrial shifts that are taking place in the economy.
