Over 100 people attended the Panel session filling every seat and corner of the room - a testimony to the growing concerns around the Trade in Services Agreement
“Trade matters to everyone because the rules affecting services intrude into every area of our life.” said Daniel Bertossa, PSI Director of Policy & Governance at the WTO Public Forum in Geneva, on Wednesday 1st October 2014. “The Trade in Services Agreement will deregulate financial services, liberalise the public sector and restrict democracy in our countries", continues Bertossa.
Over 100 participants took part in the panel session on “How a proposed Trade in Services Agreement (TISA) matters to everyone”. Public Services International (PSI), UNI global union and the International Union of Food workers (IUF) joined forces to raise awareness on the dangers of the Trade in Services Agreement.
