Bro. Jammu Anand is the President
of Nagpur Municipal Corporation Employees Union, which is located in the State
of Maharastra in India. This union is running a big campaign against
privatisation of water in the City of Nagpur. Frech multinational company
Veolia with the Indian subsidary have gone in for public private partnership
model to privatise Nagpur city privatisation. National Platform against Water
Privatisation, is a founding member along with PSI to have a national movement
against water privatisation. Now from Jan 1 2015 to 10 Jan there would be a ten
day campaign with social organisations, civil societiy and trade unions to save
water and stop water privatisation.
