Jakarta - Indonesia - Water

https://www.facebook.com/PSIAPRO/?fref=nf
PSI is working closely with Amartya Institute, this video production said that a lot of Jakarta's citizen are not able to get clean water. They have to buy water. Although the city has piped water services (run by private operator) what comes out of the tap is often only air not water, as what they pay on the bills. It is even worse in North Jakarta and West Jakarta’s area. Piped water service in here is not like piped-water services in other places where they simply need to open the tap and then the water just flows. The water meter spins, but there is no water. It must be pumped with machines. People who live in two areas mostly lower income families suffer the burden in accessing the water that they have right to get and spent much money to pay the water that should be cheap, accessible and clean.
Water is become the commodity under the private operators. Water should not be for profit, water is human rights that everyone have the rights to access clean water.
