" Hundreds of Elecy. Workers belonging to Elecy. Bill Distribution Section took out a large procession from Bakhtiar Labour Hall, Lahore to-day on 13 May, 2016 under the aegis of ALL PAKISTAN WAPDA HYDRO ELECTRIC WORKERS UNION C.B.A and carried banners in support of their demands and along with the National Flag and marched various Road including Mcleod and Abbot Road and held Rally at Luxmi Chowk, Lahore.
The procession was
led by Veteran Trade Union Leader Mr. Khurshid Ahmed, General Secretary
of the Union accompanied Muhammad Saleem Chairman, Dr. Iftikhar, Abdul Latif Khokhar and Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Arif,
Muhammad Abbas, Naveed Iqbal, Iftikhar-ud-Din, Mian Abdul Shakoor and Saqlain Shah and other
representatives of the Union. The workers demanded that the Pay Scale of
Bill Distributors may be raised in BPS-7 as well as provide Motor Cycle for
distribution of Elecy.
Bills and enlarge the
avenue of Promotion to Bill Distributor with higher education as well as introduce National Economic Self Reliance Policy to
overcome abject Poverty and aggravating unemployment among the youth and provision of Free Qualitative education
to each child and introduce agrarian
reform as well as eliminate irrational rising gap between the rich and poor in
the society and raise the wages and
salaries, House rent, Medical and Conveyance Allowances to their workers
engaged in the Private and Public Sector @ 30% and merge their Adhock Relief in
the basic Pay and fix Minimum Wages Rs.
20,000/- P.M. in the next forth coming Budget.
By another resolution, the house
demanded to the Government to impose Taxes upon the elite and Feudal lords and
crony capitalism and major Trader and Politician
as well as get remitted U.S. Dollars 200 billion deposited by the Feudal Lords
and capitalist and Politician in the
Foreign Banks urgently and allocate adequate resources in the Federal Bank for developing Water Resources and cheap Elecy. to
the Citizen to meet basic needs of the citizens. "
