PSI Affiliates in Australia have reported on a positive outcome around the TPP , which now moves to a Senate Inquiry

Thanks to months of tireless campaigning, a Senate inquiry has been called into the TPP. The inquiry was moved jointly by the Greens and the Nick Xenophon Team, and supported by the ALP. Read this morning's media release here

This is a big victory for our campaign and shows that our voices are being heard. Let's keep the pressure on!

The Government-majority Joint Standing Committee on Treaties (JSCOT) has also resumed its hearings and will be in Sydney on September 26. We'll be holding a rally outside - see details below:

A Senate inquiry will be more critical of the deal than the JSCOT inquiry will be, since the government does not have a majority in the Senate.

However, we still have to keep the pressure on so that Labor joins with the Greens and the Nick Xenophon team to block the TPP's implementing legislation.

That's why showing your support at the rally is so important. We hope to see you there!
