The theme of the APRECON will be Quality Public Services Keep the Community Safe in order to address the pressing issues in the Asia Pacific region and in the unions.
It also corresponds to the PSI key priorities adopted at the PSI World Congress.
The conference will have interactive technical discussions on the sub themes of disaster risk reduction and management, financing the development and public services, alternatives to privatisation, core organizing, trade union rights concerns and regional directions for the next five years. The conference will also provide opportunities for sectoral networking as well as subregional political discussions.
Covering the core Unions rights , health and safety issues and more of the PSI , but also its sector power in Electricity, Water and Local Government as well as Health and other areas .
