Indonesian Court final verdict - Electricity concern public interest, so it must be controlled and managed solely by the state

Today, PSI unions in the electricity are in full force to receive the decision of the Indonesian constitutional court (MK) on Judicial Review of Electricity Law no. 30. The SPPPLN (Serikat Pekerja Perjuangan PLN) and PPIP (Persatuan Pegawai Indonesia Power) were the main petitioner of the case, and win. Also present during the hearing were representative from Indonesia Parliament, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Brother Ian L.Mariano from Public Services International-Southeast Asia Sub-regions Office were at court to provide full support to the unions.
The unions has long struggle against privatisation and liberation of electricity sector in Indonesia. Today, the final verdict of the MK give hope for continuing fights that electricity concern public interest, so it must be controlled and managed solely by the state#ElectricityNOTforsale #PLNsatu
