56th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women

The 56th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is being held
from 28th Feb-09 Mar. at the UN Headquarters in New York. A Delegation of
around 80 Women from EI, ITUC & PSI, representing all the regions from 25
countries is representing our Unions.. The priority theme of the session is the
"Empowerment of Rural Women and their role in poverty and hunger
eradication and development and current challenges".
