Save our NHS - letter of support to UNISON

Dear UNISON,

I have heard the reports on the attacks on the UK Health system and find it difficult to see how any reasonable government would make such changes, surely these changes are not in the best interest of the public and citizens the government was elected to serve , nor I expect were they foreshadowed by the current government at the time of its election…… the UK NHS has been a beacon to many counties, including commonwealth countries, as a health system to aspire to and deliver for its citizens no matter their income social status , all receive the best treatment.

In Australia as I visit our equal, (we copied your a bit but not fully i'm afriad) and sit in the medical centre waiting, a short time , to see my doctor, I see a young mother , you can tell by her clothes there are others more wealthy and her priority is her family, but you know she does not need to worry to have enough money or to make a family monetary sacrifice, to have her child’s health or medical problem looked at plus the medicine (is either free or subsidized), she knows her children are equal to all others in our society, it makes me feel proud and a bit of a tear in my eye that our society has delivered for all citizens and one day her child may be a doctor, police person , or just a helpful hand in the street, that helps others, to make our society a better place  .'These are the people we must all protect .'.

The UK NHS is a beacon to many,  and no doubt some do not share our beliefs across the world would like to see it pulled down, .. the UK NHS is a beacon to many a standard of aspiration , your cause is just for workers in other counties and those in the UK, I and the ASU wish UNISON Members the very best in their campaign – your work is important to UK citizens and many, many others .
