Generation of Elecy. b providing Gas & Oil to GENCO Thermal Power
Stations and developing cheaper source of
energy of Hydel and Coal Fired Thermal Power Stations instead of Rental and Private Thermal Power
Stations and demanding for introducing far reaching reforms in the forth coming
Federal Budget for checking Price Hike and raising the wages and pension of the workers
commensurate with inflation. The protestors marched from Bakhtiar Labour Hall, Lahore earring
banners in support of their demands and Red & National Flas at the various Roads and
thereafter, held a PROTEST RALLY at Luxumi Chowk, which was addressed by Mr.
Khurshid Ahmed General Secretary of the Union alongwith Malik Noor
Muhammad, Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah, Syed Sajid Kazmi, Naveed Dogar, Ch. Maqsood
Ahmed, Rana Muhammad Akram, Syed Zahid Hussam Shah and other representatives of union. WAPDA/Elecy.
Workers observed Protest Day all over the country to-day by taking out Procession and
holding Rallies in Hyderaba,d Sukkur, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan,
Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta and other
cities all over the country in support of their just demand.
