ASU - Last chance to remind our Trade Minister to act in the public interest during next round of TPPA negotiations

http://www.asu.asn.au/media/international/20120827_trade.html By AFTINET  As we go into the final two weeks before the Trade Minister heads off to the United States for the next round of negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, we are calling on you to send him a message to remind him that he should act in the public interest, not in the interests of the US corporations!
>> Have your say! Send a message to the Trade Minister NOW!
AFTINET is calling on people to make their voices heard and make sure the Australian Government does not agree to:
  • the right of corporations to sue governments over health and environment regulation
  • changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme leading to higher prices for medicines
  • increased rights for patent and copyright holders at the expense of consumers
  • reduce Australian content in government purchasing and in audio-visual media
  • remove labelling for genetically engineered food
>> Have your say! Send a message to the Trade Minister NOW!
Tell him of your concern over the TPPA and its corporate-influenced agenda.
More information is available on the AFTINET website: http://aftinet.org.au
