FERTILIZERS WORKERS FEDERATION URGES THE PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER OF PAKISTAN TO PROVIDE FUEL TO THE GAS BASED FERTILIZER FACTORIES IN THE COUNTRY Pak Arab Fertilizer Workers Union CBA Multan, Zaffar ul Hassn, President, Muhammad Din Akoka, General Secretary, Dawood Hercules Employees Union (CBA) Sheikhupura, Javed Iqbal President, Latifullah Khan General Secretary, Pak American Fertilizer Union (CBA), Daud Khel, Ghulam Hussain Dahar, Chairman, Amin Ahmad President, Abdul Jamal Nasir General Secretary Engro Fertilizer Workers Union (CBA) Dehrki along with Mr.Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary, Pakistan Workers Confederation addressed a Press Conference on 30th July, 2012 at Islamabad Press Club urging the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources to provid Gas to these factories in order to save the investment of trillions of Rupees, revenue of Billions of Rupees of the Government and employment of thousands of workers .
Pakistan Workers Federation Central Punjab Region urges the Government to take special measures to check price hike of essential commodities on the eve of Holy Month of Ramadan and bring the profiteers and , enhance the Social Security and Old-age benefits of the workers under the Social Security Scheme and Old-age Benefits Scheme and allow medical facilities to the secured retired workers and their families, raise the wages of the Semi-skilled, Skilled and Supervisory Workers commensurate with price hike employed under the Federal Government and Provincial Governments of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa as their wages have not been raised for the last two years despite considerable price hike in the country during this period to get enforced the labour laws in the country through Independent Labour Inspection Machinery in conformity with ILO Convention No.81 ratified by the Government of Pakistan and bring the labour legislation on industrial relations in the country in conformity with ILO Conventions Nos.87 and 98 ratified by the Government since less than 50 workers employed in an establishment have been debarred to form their Union under the Punjab Industrial Relations Act, 2010 in violation of the said ILO Conventions.                                                                            

PAKISTAN WORKERS CONFEDERATION SUBMITTED 15 POINTS AGENDA TO THE CHIEF MINISTER, PUNJAB FOR HOLDING TRIPARTITE LABOUR CONFERENCEPakistan Workers Confederation has submitted a 15 points agenda for consideration of tripartite labour conference at Provincial level for tackling the labour and economic issues.A DELEGATION OF PAKISTAN WORKERS CONFEDERATION CALLED UPON MR.FRANCESO D' VOIDIO. DIRECTOR, ILO AREA OFFICE, ISLAMABADA delegation of Pakistan Workers Confederation called upon Mr.Franceso D' Voidio, Director, ILO Area Office, Islamabad in his office and discussed the labour issues concerning the world of work and need for respect of fundamental rights of the workers at work place and promotion of decent work and conveyed appreciation for the work of ILO for carryout of these objectives. They delegation expressed concern over non-adoption of application of Standards Report by the ILO Conference this year.
