Newly
elected members of the Port Vila Municipal Council took part in Local Electors
Leadership (LEL) training on 7 February. Funded by Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) Pacific and the Port
Vila Municipal Council and hosted by the Director of the Department of Local
Authorities (DLA); the training helped the newly elected Councillors to better
understand their role and covered a range of areas including
representation, communication, policy making, overseeing, facilitating,
negotiation, decision-making, financing, institutional building and leadership. ....
