As a result of
Bipartite Agreement between Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Workers Union CBA and
announcement made by the Federal Minister State in a meeting of the Union, the
management of Lahore Electric Supply
Company has decided to pay One Month Bonus to its 21,000 employees on the eve
of Eid-ul-Fiter. It was further decided to raise Motor
Cycle Allowance to the Line Superintendents, Meter Readers and Bill
Distributors Rs. 1200 P.M. in the Urban Area and Rs. 2000/- P.M. in the rural areas. It was further
decided to allow the facility of Free Medical
to the parents of the
employees and pay Medical Allowance to the retired
Personnel @ Rs. 25% of their Pension. On the demand of the union, the amount of
Ex-Gratia to the dependents of the deceased workers died as a result of fatal
accident on duty has been raised Rs. One
Million from Rs. Half Million. The pay scale of (Senior Clerks BPS 9) has been raised BPS-11 @70% of their Cader
and Bill Distributor (BPS-3) to BPS-5. Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Veteran Trade Union
Leader and the General Secretary of the Union has welcomed the decisions of the
LESCO management and its B.O.D. and appealed to the workers to do everything to
provide “BETTER SERVICE TO THE CONSUMERS” and make it efficient in order to
avert the proposed Privatization.
