Resilient Cities 2015 special theme: Finance

This year, Resilient Cities will take a critical look at emerging approaches for financing resilience. Throughout the congress, cities, experts and practitioners can follow a finance track of sessions exploring innovative examples and new financing methods from donors, investors and pioneering cities.

The finance track will include a special
Finance Forum organized in cooperation with Agence Française de Développement (ADF) on June 9th.

A Reality Check Workshop featuring the City of Copenhagen at Resilient Cities 2012

"Cities in Focus" sessions

Resilient Cities 2015 will feature four city case-studies with two Reality Check Workshops (Tshwane, South Africa and Pemba/Quelimane, Mozambique) and one in-depth session on post-disaster resilience-building in New York City.

These "Cities in Focus" sessions will offer a close look into specific, but transferable climate change adaptation and urban resilience strategies and allow cities to learn from each other's responses to common challenges.

Urban Food Forum @ Resilient Cities

A special Urban Food Forum organized by the RUAF Foundation will be hosted at Resilient Cities on June 10th. The Food Forum will focus on innovative practices, strategies and policies for resilient city and city-region food systems and will discuss the role of small and medium enterprises in sustainable urban food system development.
