take measures to overcome serious load shedding of Electricity and
its high cost instead of its privatization since the experience of
Privatization of Electricity in Multan and Rawalpindi and Karachi had already
failed. Its privatization would give rise Inter Provincial Dispute alike Water Distribution instead of that, it should get recovered 200
Millions US$ from capitalists and feudal lords and some politicians deposited
in the Swiss Banks, as announced by the
Federal Minister for Finance & Economic Affairs and develop Hydel and coal and Gas fired Power Stations in the public sector.
He pointed out that National Power Company of Peoples' Republic of China
has been providing electricity to one billion and 0.1 million-electricity
consumers successfully all over the country
without load shedding and high price of electricity all over the country. Why
Pakistan being Nuclear State could run
electricity in the public sector? He declared that distribution of electricity
into 15-companies and handing over their control to the private Members of
Board of Directors without any investment had added its mismanagement instead
of its reforms.
He urged to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to take into account
under the constitution that its State Obligation to provide electricity to the
citizens being basic need. That is the
reason that Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah specially
declared to keep public utilities under the public sector in the interest of
citizens.
He demanded to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to advise all concerned to hold dialogue with the workers in conformity with ILO Conventions and place this issue before National Parliament and Senate of Pakistan instead of acting unilaterally.
