The University of Technology in Sydney Australia, has recently re published an important publication looking at councils in the Southern State of Tasmania resource sharing as an alternative to amalgamation.... while not always perfect , its an opportunity for lateral discussion and , getting value from recessives, while maintaining a strong community voice.
Issues of Local Government resources and forced amalgamation of Local Government entities and the removal of community voices were an important discussion point for last years PSI Asia Pacific Local Government meeting
