Australia - The State of NSW recent report and update on asbestos actions by Government over last 7 years

The report is significant on number of fronts and provides solid reference to the danger of asbestos , recent actions by Government and a range of issues and areas that provide good arguments around the hazards of asbestos and examples that can be used by those fighting against the use of asbestos, in any Country.

The report highlights, that - the "2010 Ombudsman report found that the methods for dealing with asbestos across the whole of government were disjointed, ad hoc, confusing and largely ineffective. "
"Asbestos was being dumped illegally on public and private land. Awareness of the dangers of asbestos seemed minimal."

This has all now led to actions that have resulted in " NSW is now widely recognised in Australia as having a best practice approach to managing asbestos"
