PSI AP Utilities and TUED , catch up at PSI Congress

PSI AP Utilities recently caught up with TUED , a number of key energy, electricity Unions and NGOs at side meeting held at the time of the recent PSI Congress 
.
The discussion attend by 10 or so key global activists in Public Sector energy and climate change, provided an ideal opportunity to catch up and exchange views on key issues faced by Energy Unions under the PSI umbrella , and included the key ares of PSI Congress around public provision of services and the failures of current of the privatization models.

Key issues under discussion included -
Just Transition  (key issue at PSI congress in resolutions and the program of action)
United Nations actions on Climate Change 
Next Steps for Stern  
Neo Liberalism and failures around renewable energy 
Renewable Energy production still stuck at only 5% of global energy production
The issues faced by TATA , Indian coal imports, re export coal taxes from Indonesia 
European Municipals purchasing electricity on behalf of citizens, collective contracts
OCED countries moving away from industrialisation,thus reduced energy demand .
Models for public funding and public financing examples of energy.
