Pakistan - Decent Work, social society, safe work conditions, equal pay, Trade Union rights, elimination of child, bonded labour and discrimination

Fundamental rights of the workers work for the provision of Decent Work and social society and safe working conditions and ensuring of equal pay for equal work and respect of fundamental Trade Union rights of the workers and elimination of child and bonded labour and discrimination against women in the society may got respected by the law makers and State and ensuring the social democracy in the society. 

These demands were raised by the working class on the eve of celebration of International Human Rights Day by holding a large meeting at Bakthiar Labour Hall Lahore under the aegis of all Pakistan Workers Confederation (Regd.) on 11th December, 2017 which was participated by large number of Trade Union representatives and workers belonging to the various affiliated Trade Unions including PSI Energy (electricity) affiliate  WAPDA, and other Unions including Railway, Transport, Telecommunication, PWD, Irrigation, Textile, Printing, Engineering, other Industries. 

The meeting was addressed by Veteran Trade Union Leader Khurshid Ahmed General Secretary (WAPDA) accompanied by Rubina Jamil President, Mehmood Butt, Adil Khan, Saeed Gujjar, Osama Tariq (WAPDA) , Muhammad Ilyas, Niaz Khan (WAPDA), Hassan Munir Bhatti and other Trade Union representatives. 

The meeting, urged to all the political parties to form National Action Plan to tackle aggravating unemployment of the youth and abject poverty and denial of free equal standard education to each child in the society since almost 61% children are denied education due to the poverty of their parents and defeat ethnic and parochial and religious sectarian forces in order to establish an egalitarian society free from exploitation and based upon social justice and equality fraternity and human dignity. 

Additionally the meeting also urged to the Secretary General United Nation and all freedom loving nations to get implemented the resolution of United Nation declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine and get stopped genocide of Kashmiri and Myanmar citizens in violation of United Nation Declaration of Human Rights. They protested against the decision of President Trump on Bait-ul-Maqdas declaring as capital of Israel against UN Resolution. 

After the meeting the workers took out a procession to celebrate International Human Rights Day and pledging their commitment to continue to carry out the concreted struggle to uphold the principles of United Nation Deliberation on Human Rights and core conventions of ILO on labour and getting them implemented.
