The future of Labour movement in India - Advice from Raman Kannan PSI South Asia Sub Regional Secretary

Joining a round table to look at the future of Labour movement in India. The opening session with eminent Labour economist gave credence to the fact that concentration of capital & wealth results in decrease in wages and overall leads to Inequality.
I chaired a session on Future of Public Sector Employees: The Spectra of Privatisation in which top union leaders Bro. Shiv Gopal Mishra of Railways & com. Abhimanyu of BSNL joined a dialog with Academics, NGOs and Labour representatives. Great to know from them the success stories and way forward to increase solidarity. Next session was on Banking, Defence Civilians & Air India sectors.
The final two sessions was interesting; discussions were on the emerging transport sector (Uber & Ola) and UTILITIES (Advice from Raman Kannan PSI South Asia Sub Regional Secretary)
