metropolitan electricity distributor, starts operating on 1 July with the
intention of playing an active role in the energy market, making it fairer,
more efficient and sustainable. The company starts out by covering the
electricity needs of the City Council and the rest of the municipal companies,
as well as street lighting. As from January 2019, its services will also be
available to the general public. The use of the company is expected to
represent an annual saving of 71,000 euros."
