On the
eve of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNFCC) in Bangkok, the
alliance of movements and organizations campaigning for climate justice or
Global Campaign to Demand Climate Justice (DCJ), will provide international
media with an in-depth briefing on their policy demands to political leaders
and governments.
Panel of speakers include:
- Sector-leading climate change policy
specialists, with decades of experience observing, influencing and
commenting on global climate negotiations;
- Leaders of communities and movements from the
global South who are experiencing the impacts of climate change;
and,
- Global campaigners who are leading mobilization
partnerships with other civil society organizations and
non-governmental organizations in Thailand and around the
world.
The Global Campaign to Demand Climate Justice will be represented by
the Asian People’s Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD), Action Aid
International (AAI), Focus on the Global South and other members from
all over the world
