MR. JUSTICE (RETIRED) RAJA FAYYAZ AHMED. CHAIRMAN NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION HAS ASKED FOR DETAILED REPORT
On the Petition filed by Pakistan Workers Confederation through General Secretary, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed alleging non-implementation of the Labour, Safety & Health Laws resulting inferno in Garment Factory Karachi and Leather Factory Lahore and need for raising Minimum Wages for the workers employed in the Sind, Blohistan , Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa Provinces alike Punjab which had not been revised more than 2-1/2years as well as review of the labour laws in conformity with ILO Conventions ratified by the Government of Pakistan and need for utilization of Workers Welfare Fund for the provision of housing and education to the children of the secured workers.
ONE DAY SEMINAR WAS HELD AT BALOCHISTAN UNDER THE AEGIS OF PAKISTAN WORKERS FEDERATION BALOCHISTAN ON 18 OCTOBER. 2012
On the need to tackle the serious economic and Social issues facing the down trodden and workers including rising unemployment and poverty and ensuring Peace & Security in the Province. The speakers included M/s. Abdul Latif Nizamani, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Shakoor, Muhammad Tariq, Gohar Taj, Haji Muhammad Ramzan Achakzai, Khurshid Ahmad and others representative of the Trade Union and the Seminar formulated the various recommendations on the subject for taking action by the government, trade unions and political parties. The Electronic and Print Media gave a wide coverage to this event.
OATH TAKING CEREMONY OF NEWLY ELECTED OFFICE BEARER OF AGRICULTURE ENGINEERS EMPLOYEES UNION BALOHISTAN HELD AT QUETTA ON 18 OCTOBER. 2012
An Oath Taking Ceremony of newly elected Office Bearer of Agriculture Engineers Employees Union Balohistan held at Quetta on 18th October, 2012 which was addressed by the various Trade Union representatives including M/s. Abdul Latif Nizamani, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Shakoor, Muhammad Tariq, Gohar Taj, Haji Muhammad Ramzan Achakzai, Khurshid Ahmad and others representative of the Trade Union and other representatives of Trade Unions and urged the Government of Balochistan to accept the genuine demands put up by the said union at the earliest including promotion of the staff and replacement of outdated Agriculture Machinery being out lived by extensive use.
A SPECIAL REFERENCE MEETING HELD TO COMMEMORATE THE DEDICATED SERVICES BY LATE SHAFIQUE QURESHID PRESIDENT. WATAN DOST MAZDOOR UNION AND NATIONAL TRADE UNION ON 20TH OCTOBER. 2012 AT KARACHI PRESS CLUB
A Special Reference Meeting was held to Commemorate the dedicated services by Late Shafique Qureshid, President, Watan Dost Mazdoor Union and National Trade Union on 20th October, 2012 in the grounds of Karachi Press Club. It was participated hundreds of trade unions leaders and activist which was addressed by Chief Justice ® Syed Waji ud Din Ahmad, Chief Justice ® Shahid Anwar Bajwa, M/s. Noor Ahmad, Jalil Shah, Habib Junaidi, Abdul Aziz Abbasi, Saleem Akhtar, Abdul Haq, Attique Qureshi, Khurshid Ahmad Vetran Trade Union Leader including women trade unionist and-activists and paid tribute his devoted services ranging more than 50 years and pledged to continue to carryout to his noble mission by galvanizing the struggling and establish an Egalitarian Society.
PAKISTAN WAPDA HYDRO ELECTRIC CENTRAL LABOUR UNION CBA OBSERVED PROTEST DAY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ON 11 OCTOBER. 2012
Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Central Labour Union CBA observed Protest Day all over the country On 11th October, 2012 by holding Protest Rallies and Marches in all the Cities against the proposed privatization of National Public Utility Electricity .by the Federal Government. Meanwhile, the delegation of the CBA Union met the Secretary, Ministry of Water & Power and apprised her serious concern of the workers over the proposed decision and declared it would be against the public interest.
