Electricity Distribution Companies were not being  privatized, however, the employees should spare no efforts to improve its productivity and recovery of its dues and prevention of its pilferage to make itself reliant The management would ensure provision of security to the field staff in prevention of pilferage of energy and recovery of lawful dues of electricity and the deserving employees would be encouragement of awarding them suitability. 
The promises made by the Government of Pakistan with the union through settlement would be honored and every effort would continue to be made for promotion of the welfare of the workers. 
This assurance was given by Mrs. Nargis Sethi, Federal Secretary Water & Power to the delegation of Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) in a bilateral meeting held on November 4, 2012 in the presence of Syed Raghib Abbas Shah, Chairman WAPDA and other higher officers of WAPDA. The union delegation was led by Mr. Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of the Union, Earlier, the union delegation apprised the Federal Secretary Water & Power the various problems facing the  workers and suggested that the control of Electricity, Generation and other companies may be handed over back to WAPDA instead of making them independent in the interest of efficiency and national interest and thanked the Federal Secretary for arranging payment of Honoraria to PEPCO staff.
