40% OF BASIC PAY WAS SANCTIONED AS HARDSHIP ALLOWANCED FOR ELECTRICS DISTRIBUTION WORKERS EMPLOYED IN PESHAWAR ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY
40% of Basic Pay has been sanctioned as Hardship Allowance for the Electricity Workers employed in Peshawar Electric Supply Company as a result of bilateral agreement between Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) and the Federal Minister for Water and Power, Government of Pakistan and the PESCO management. A large meeting was held at this occasion on 24th November, 2012 at Peshawar. It was also addressed by Chief Executive Office, PESCO along with Mr. Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of the Union and Mr. Gohar Taj, Chairman of the Union and Mr. Iqbal Khan Provincial Chairman of the Union. It was participated by many thousands workers. 
PAKISTAN WORKERS CONFEDERATION DEMANDS PROMPT PAYMENT TO THE DEPENDENTS OF THE DECEASED WORKERS OF GARMENTS FACTORY, BALDIATOWN, KARACHI AND LEATHER FACTORY, LAHORE
Pakistan Workers Confederation has urged the Chief Ministers of Sindh and Punjab to intervene to get paid all lawful dues to the dependents of the deceased workers of Garments Factory, Baldia Town, Karachi and Leather Factory, Lahore. The Confederation has also pointed out that the majority of ht workers have not been covered under the Social Security Employees Scheme, Old Age Benefits, etc due to the apathy of the employer and the Regulatory Body of those Schemes. 
PAKISTAN WORKERS FEDERATION. CENTRAL PUNJAB REGION HELD MEETING
A large meeting of the affiliated trade unions of Pakistan Workers Federation was held on Bukhtiar Labour Hall, Lahore, which passed various resolutions urging the Government to end sky rocketing price hike, high inflation and aggravating unemployment in the country and overcome the serious energy load-shedding and ensure effective enforcement of labour laws through independent labour inspection machinery. The House also urged all the political parties to include concrete programme of action for welfare of the workers in the election manifestos in the forthcoming elections. The meeting was addressed by M/s Osama Tariq,Ali Khan,Khushi Muhammad Khokhar, Asad Ali Shah and veteran trade union leader Mr. Khurshid Ahmad,
