ERIA (Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia). It is available at:

http://www.eria.org/publications/research_project_reports/energy-market-integration-in-east-asia-theories-electricity-sector-and-subsidies.html Since the formation of the East Asian Summit (EAS) in 2005, Energy Market Integration (EMI) in East Asia has become one of the initiatives endorsed and actively promoted by EAS governments. Electricity market integration in East Asia is an important component of EMI.  The study was done to gain better understanding of issues involved and to "deal with the removal of subsidies in the energy sectors" and "consider various scenarios of reducing or removing subsidies and hence the possible consequences."  Three countries for case studies --  Cambodia, China and New Zealand -- represent EAS members at different stages of development in their electricity sectors. More detailed investigations were don on three other EAS members --Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
