The campaign run over a three year period across the State of Western Australia  (WA) showed how important working with the community is to change voters intentions, explain the facts of privatisation cost and work with other unions and the community. this campaign also saw other Branches of the ASU and ETU from across the country help i the campaign ... the election win by the Labor Government who have opposed the conservative liberal / national government was a great win for its Union and community support

An additional factor was the conservatives tried to gain cross support from other more extreme conservative , and it back fired on them , increasing their loss and swing against them  .

Update from the WA branch face book page includes -

" This video is just a snapshot of some of our activities embarked on to stop the privatisation of Western Power. "
Labor wins in a landslide. Commentators described the 'Use Your Power' anti-privatisation campaign as a precision-like machine that never lost its focus. This campaign was driven by volunteers- the men and women of Western Power and Synergy, regardless of whether they were members of the ASU or ETU. The campaign was supported by not just the ASU/ETU membership but by the broader community. This video is a short look at the campaign and is our way of thanking our volunteers and the community."
