A huge rally of regular and casual & contract workers and teachers working in Nagpur Municipal Corporation held a huge rally on winter session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly here on dated 19/12/2017.
Thousands of teachers, employees and workers have participated. One of the main demands was to implement all the statutory labour laws applicable to contract workers which includes minimum wages act, bonus act, PF, ESIC, and so on.
It was also demanded for regularisation of contract workers who have completed 240 days of work.
The charter of demands includes job and social security for all the casual & contract workers. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation Employees Union played a key role in organising the rally. Jammu Anand
